This is a report of the experience of a group of psychotherapists and facilitators of the Center for Training and Systemic Research – CEFIS, of Ecuador, in training in techniques of prevention and management of vicarious trauma, for rescuers, medical doctors, police, army and debris removal personnel , who had been the first-line interveners to help the population after the earthquake that took place in Ecuador coasts in 2016.
